Ciate Mini Mani Manor Month Advent Calendar 2014

With only a matter of weeks until the big day finally arrives, beauty advent calendars seem to be all over the blogging world. As much as I love chocolate, who doesn't want to wake up to a new product to try every day? well certainly not me. Ciate is a brand I've tried before and absolutely adore, so when I saw this calendar in one of my emails I instantly ordered it. I'm a nail polish addict, so this is basically perfect for me. I've seen these Ciate calendars in previous years on other blogs, but never picked it up, so I did save before hand as I knew this year I had to own it.

Nail Polish Addict // Fragrance Direct Haul

Two hauls in one day.. I'm a shopping addict. I wanted to get this up tonight as I already have my posts ready for tomorrow so I thought I'd upload this now.

I studied Beauty Therapy at college, and nails were always my favourite part. Whether it was painting nails, doing nail art, acrylics or gels I loved it all. I started getting into painting my nails when I was around 12 and my love for nail polish has extended since, as well as my collection. My nail varnish collection from 2012 is my most read blog post, and my collection has certainly increased since then. Last week I was having a browse on Fragrance Direct, then I started adding different colours to my basket and before I even thought it through I placed my order. I admit I did go a bit crazy but they we're all so affordable, most being around £1. I haven't been as excited for a parcel as I was for this one!
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme - 99p
Left-right, top-bottom // Virtual Violet // Pink Grape Fruit // Pinch of Punch // Petite Pink // Violet Sparks // Wild Life // Perfect Pear-ing //  Ice Pop // Strawberry Icing // Blueberry Blast

The first brand I chose was Sally Hansen. Sally Hansen is my favourite brand for top coats, Insta Dri is my holy grail! So when I saw these for 99p I decided to give them a try. I like the shape of these bottles as they don't take up much room and still hold 11.8ml of product.

Bourjois 10 Day Anti Choc No Chips Nail Polish - £1.10
Left- right // 26 // 12 // 16 // 11 // 25

Bourjois So Laque Nail Polish - 99p
Left-right // 61 Vert Chlorophylle // 31 Bleu Violet // 40 Violet Couture

These Bourjois polishes really stood out to me as I love that they show the colour of the product as well as a matching lid. I thought I'd pick up a few to give a try. The 10 day Anti Choc No Chips have an angled brush, which I'm not too keen on, but I'm sure I'll get used to.

Left-right // 186 Fuchsia Fever // 191 Orange Fix // 188 Electric Pink // 183 Speeding Light // 207 Turquoise Temptation

I really like the Maybelline Color Show polishes as I've tried a few in the past. The only polish I had problems with is the one on the end which is separated, but when you apply it seems to apply evenly. I like the brightness of the neon colours, and although it's Autumn here in the UK it doesn't stop be wanting to try these colours- I'm such a rule breaker!

I'm currently wearing the Rimmel Salon Pro in Purple Rain, and I'm loving it. It applied well and was opaque with two coats. The brush is amazing and I found this to be one of the easiest I've worked with, very similar to Essie. It also dried really quick.

OPI and Essie are two of my favourite nail polish brands. I haven't tried any from the Nicole by OPI range so when I saw this one I goggled swatches and I fell in love. Orly is a brand I've wanted to try so I ordered this amazing barbie pink, it looks so pretty! I also picked up a couple more Essie to add to my collection as Fragrance Direct have a pretty good reputation in the blogging community for selling Essie for a lot cheaper than RRP, at £2.49.

So that's everything I picked up, I'm super happy with the colours I got and I can't wait to have a play around with them all. I will have individual swatches and reviews once I've tried them, if there's any you want to see first feel free to leave them below and I'll get to it.

London Haul // Bobbi Brown, MAC, Urban Decay

I've been slacking on blog posts, I know. I've just been crazy busy the past few weeks and then on Wednesday I had to go and stay in London for testing at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine. All though I spent most my time being stabbed with needles or wired up to all sorts of machines, me and mum did manage to spend a bit of time in Covent Garden and Oxford Street. So obviously I had to buy some make up!

My Everyday Make Up Routine - Autumn 2014

So I'm calling this my 'everyday' make up routine as it has been the look I've been wearing the most lately, but I still do love experimenting with different colours & products. I also decided to get my hair dyed grey/silver for the new season, and yes I have been told by children I look like an old lady, haha! anyway onto the make up..

My Favourite Autumn Lipsticks

Getting this post up has been an absolute nightmare, I've currently been sat at my laptop trying to get it fixed for 7 hours. My laptop has served me well the past 4/5 years and it started giving up on me around April. So since then I've been saving for an iMac, so I finally caved in and ordered one. It’s something I've wanted for years and I can’t wait for it to be delivered, I think I'm going to be sat at the window stalking any delivery vans that come up my road the next few days. Anyway, onto the post..

Younique 3D Fibre Lash Mascara Review

I've seen the brand Younique floating around Instagram for a while, and I wanted to give the 3D Fibre Lash Mascara a try, especially after seeing lots of before and after photos and wondered if I'd get the same result. Luckily I was kindly sent it to try by Azalia.

YSL Kiss & Blush in 8 Pink Hedoniste

I've been loving YSL lately, as you can probably tell by my recent reviews. A few weeks ago I was getting my make up done by one of the girls and she used the Kiss & Blush in 8 Pink Hedoniste on me. I instantly fell in love and had to own it, here's my opinions so far..

Blue hair // Bleach London Washed Up Mermaid

I started dying my hair crazy colours when I was about 14, I've been just about every colour going. In April 2013 I decided to stop dying my hair and let the bleach grow out as after years of bleaching, my hair was really showing the damage. I already had super short hair so with regular cuts it didn't take long to grow out most of the bleach. In December last year I decided to get the remaining lighter parts dyed to match my natural blonde hair. I kept it that colour until June this year. The bleach was fully outgrown and I got so bored of having 'normal' hair that I decided to dye it blue..

(the bottle pictured below is almost empty, I've been trying to pick up another bottle but its always out of stock in my local Boots)

My Top 5 Summer Lipsticks 2014

As it's summer here in the UK I thought I'd share my top 5 summer lipsticks with you. I'm such a lover of bright lipstick that when the suns out the nude shades go into hiding. I do have blue hair so I have to watch what colours I'm wearing as I've found certain colours that really don't work with it. But these are my top 5 that I reach for most- and are blue hair safe!..

Tiny Tea Teatox - Week One

Reviewing tea? In the two and a half years I've been writing this blog I can say I've yet to review tea. But this isn't your normal tea and biscuits. I've been trying the Your Tea Tiny Tea 14 day Teatox the past week, and I wanted to share my opinions on my first week so far. I will update again next week when I've finished the teatox..

(p.s. there are less tea bags in the box now as I took these photos only a few days after starting as I didn't want to picture a half empty box, ramble over)

My favourite concealers

I've spent years trying concealers from various different brands, and various different price tags. Out of all my testing I have found many I've fallen head over heels for, and others I can't stand. Today I wanted to share my opinions on my favourite concealers. I have a few favourites as I find certain concealers work best for different areas of my face. I still haven't found 'the one' that can conceal blemishes, redness and be moisturising enough for under eyes *sigh*.

YSL & Smashbox Haul

Today me and my sister decided to head into town for a girly day together, which basically means going to every make up counter, swatching a billion things and ending up in Starbucks.
We headed into Debenhams to have a look around, and I really wanted to have a look at the YSL sale as I'd seen a few bits online. The lovely assistant -and when I say lovely she was literally the nicest lady ever!-showed me some items and applied them to my face. The eye make up was incredible, the whole look was incredible, she really done great. I ended up walking away with a few products as I couldn't resist, especially as YSL is my favourite luxury brand. Topaz (hello if you found my blog and are reading this! you really helped my confidence, I walked out the store literally feeling a billion times better, thank you!

What's in my holiday make up bag

Today I wanted to share what's in my holiday make up bag, I've already been on holiday this year so I'm posting about the items I did take when I went to Tunisia back in April. I really wish I was going on holiday again this summer! If you're jetting off this summer, I'm incredibly jealous of you, please make room for me in your suitcase!
