Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette Review + Swatches

Isn't she a thing of beauty, a palette sent to the earth from the highlighting gods - yes I did just refer to a palette as a she. I've had my eyes on this Sleek palette since I started seeing it pop up on various blogs and on my Instagram feed, and then when I saw the fabulous Ailsa (aka my fave Instagramer ever) post pictures, I was sold! I picked up this palette the very next day, and although I've only owned it for a few days, it's blessed my face with a glow that I needed to share.

My Opinion On Balance Me Skincare

Balance Me was a brand that I'd heard about but never tried until this little skincare set arrived through my door. When I preordered my Look Fantastic Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar, they had an offer on where you got this Balance Me sample set for free when you spent a certain amount... bonus!

Now I'm usually rather sceptical when it comes to trying new skincare products, I tend to stick to the ones I know and love as I hate trying new products and reacting to them. The thing I really like about this brand is that their products are mostly natural, which is something that really draws me into products. The brand was founded by two British sisters (go girl power!) back in 2005. They've really challenged what natural beauty stands for and created products that wouldn't have been possible a few years ago. They've since earned themselves a lot of praise in the media and by various celebs. I was actually really excited to give these products a try, and I wanted to share my opinion on them with you.

My Top 5 Autumn Lipsticks

Autumn is my favourite time of the year - if I haven't made that obvious enough already! As much as I love my bright pinks and corals during the summer, I love bringing out the more Autumnal berries, reds and purples as the cooler weather approaches. I know a lot of people love to rock the dark vampy lipsticks this time of year, but they just really don't suit me - I seriously envy those people that look incredible in them because I can't seem to pull dark colours off... no matter how many I try! Today I thought I'd share my top 5 Autumn lipsticks with you all to show you the colours I'll practically be living in over the next few months.

Blogoween Look #1 | The Girl Who Cried Blood

Halloween is my second favourite time of the year (Christmas has to be number one, obviously). When stores start getting Halloween decorations in I'm like a crazy lady buying as many of the gimmicky over priced yet incredibly cute decorations as I acceptably can. Being someone who does special effects makeup, I love that I can create as many gory and creepy looks as I possibly can. I actually have clients booked for a Halloween party, I can't wait to gore people up!

Battle of the Eye Primers | Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat & Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden

Battle of the Eye Primers | Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat & Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
Eye primers are a must have for me. Without them I find my shadow lasts half the time it would have if I'd used one. Not only do they help to make eye shadow last longer by creating a smooth canvas, they also help cover veins and discolouration, intensify colours and prevent creasing. With so many available on the market from gels, creams, liquids... it really can seem like a bit of a daunting task finding the best one for you. Today I'm taking three popular yet expensive eye primers to share my opinion and which one I thinks worth the money...
