Anastasia Beverly Hills Black Friday Eyeshadow Haul + Swatches

This post has been one that I've been so excited to share with you guys since the day I placed this order. You all by now probably understand my love for makeup so when I saw Anastasia Bevely Hills had 60% off single shadows on Black Friday I flew over to my laptop and placed my order as fast as I possibly could. A lot of the shades I wanted had sold out but I still managed to get my hands on all these. I added all the shades I'd actually wear into my basket and checked out so here we are now showing the damage I managed to do to my poor bank balance.

My Top 7 Tips For Avoiding A Cakey Base

Makeup is a wonderful thing, it gives us the ability to enhance our features and play around with different colours and products to create a look that works for us. The one thing that plays a big part in the overall makeup look is your base, a good base is going to create the perfect canvas but it can easily go wrong leaving you with serious cake face. We've all had that dreaded situation where you've done your makeup and then step outside and see it in natural light and gasp with shock - I can't be the only one right? Well over the years I've found ways that work for me to prevent that cakey looking base and today I thought I'd share some of them with you.

Products I'm Currently Loving #5

Somehow we're already 5 days into December, Christmas is coming round faster than I'm ready for and it's reminding me I still have Christmas presents to buy! I'm one of those people that leave everything to the last minute so I expect I won't start wrapping till the 24th, maybe one day I'll eventually become a more organised person. As for todays post, I'm talking about my current favourites and I can't believe I haven't shared one since September!

My Favourite Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Makeup Geek shadows won over the hearts of many beauty lovers when they first came onto the scene back in 2011, myself included. The thing I really like about MUG is that their shadows are affordable, high quality and come in a variety of colours, but do be warned they are incredibly addictive and you'll be left wanting to fill your palette asap. Coming in single pans means that customising your own palette has never been easier, no depotting, no shadows that sit unused because you only bought a certain palette for a few of the shades.
